Here at Signature Property Finance, we are recognised as one of the UK’s leading short-term property finance providers, delivering an innovative, relationship-led service that has seen us increase our lending each year for more than a decade.

We believe we remain one of only a few independent short-term funders with an in-house legal team, which is a major point of difference and a significant factor in our ongoing success.

Legal Counsel Rhodri O’Reilly has been central to the quality of the service delivered and were pleased to share that he has been promoted to Legal Director, in recognition of the huge contribution he’s made to our legal capabilities and the wider business since joining.

Rhodri became part of the Signature team in 2022, bringing with him several years of experience in secured lending from a specialist property law firm in Cardiff. He was mentored by our former Legal Director and now Chief Operating Officer, Thomas Howells – so he’s been learning from the best from day one!

From his first few weeks, it was clear that Rhodri brought a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach that fits perfectly with how we like to do business. He’s played a key role in improving the speed, clarity and efficiency of our deals, which makes life easier not just for our clients and brokers but for our Relationship Managers and all of our office team, too.

Our CEO, Tony Gilbertson, summed it up well: “Rhodri’s promotion is very well deserved. He has more than proven himself, not just in his legal ability but in how he works across the team to help deliver deals quickly, efficiently and with the client experience at the heart of the decisions we make as a team and as a business.

“He’s played a key role in helping us develop our legal processes and is an important part of the future of our business as we continue to grow and build a service that better reflects the changing needs of our clients.”

New Legal Director Rhodri said: “It’s incredibly rewarding to have my work recognised in this way. From the start, I’ve been encouraged to bring forward ideas and help shape how we manage the legal side of our lending. We’ve made real progress in simplifying the process and giving clients more clarity from day one — and I’m excited to keep building on that as we grow.”

We’re lucky to have Rhodri leading our legal function as we enter our next phase of growth. And we’re proud to be one of the few short-term lenders with such a strong in-house legal team.

So, congratulations, Rhodri and thank you for all you’ve done (and continue to do) to help us deliver the kind of service we’re known for.
