Lending Support Administrator

Location: Shirley, Birmingham

Salary: £25K

Position: Permanent

Hours: 9-5 Monday to Friday - some flexibility required

This is a new role created to support the growth strategy of Signature Property Finance, one of the UK’s leading short-term property finance providers. The successful candidate will ideally live within a 30-minute commute of our headquarters in Shirley, but will be as comfortable working from home, when they will need to be self-motivated.

Previous experience in a finance or lending based role would be favourable, but your attitude is more import as all necessary training will be given.

We expect you to:

  • Help develop our business by strengthening the profitable, long-term relationships created by our team of relationship managers
  • Promote our proposition and product offering at every opportunity, promoting Signature Property Finance as the alternative lender of choice.
  • Form an effective team with our relationship managers to efficiently manage a large pipeline of cases through to completion, ensuring both company service standards and our lending policy is complied with throughout.
  • Ensure a good understanding of all our policies, procedures and compliance guidelines, instilling the principles in your daily practice to help protect the company from any associated risks.
  • Liaise regularly with internal and external departments, such as: processing, underwriting and legal, to monitor standards (SLAs).
  • Monitor deal quality, and highlight successes and offer ideas for innovation and improvement across our processes
  • Follow deals from your assigned relationship manager on a case ownership basis, providing exceptional service from initial enquiry to completion, being involved at all stages and offering support as required.
  • Attend external events such as roadshows, exhibitions and client-centric events where appropriate, to support the relationship managers as they raise brand awareness.
  • Understand and analyse key items such as credit searches, bank statements, financial accounts, property valuations and business appraisals to assist lending decisions.
  • Deliver high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in data input and all written communication produced.
  • Ensure that all regulatory requirements are adhered to throughout the process and in all contact with customers, brokers and third-parties.
  • Deal with all telephone & email enquiries efficiently and within company standards, replying to your assigned relationship managers promptly at all times, even out of office hours when necessary.
  • Work with our external marketing agency to provide timely details of deals, for case studies, press release and content production.
